So how can you do well in Covet Fashion? This ultimate guide covers everything you need to know about Covet Fashion; how to get started, enter challenges, create looks, win prizes (including how to win Top Look), enter Jet Set Challenges, add friends, set up a Covet Fashion Facebook account, and how to make money, save cash and earn diamonds. This article was updated in September of 2019 to include new information! I will update this page accordingly with any new additions to Covet Fashion!Use the Table of Contents below to skip to the category you're interested in. Click on the Style Challenges link in the sidebar to enter your first challenge. The Style Challenges menu will open up, and you can browse the different challenges and find one you'd like to enter. Each challenge is themed and will give you a short description of what your model is doing and what she should be wearing. There are also requirements for each challenge.

Creative, Fashion, Lifestyle My TOP Covet Fashion Looks and Tips! In case you’ve missed it the once or twice (or 500 times!) that I’ve mentioned it, I love playing this game.

You always have to pay a certain amount of tickets to enter, but you may also be required to wear certain garments in order to satisfy the particular theme.Challenges last for a limited amount of time. Most challenges will give you two to three days to enter; some special challenges might have less time, while the Daily Challenge always stays up for 24 hours. After the timer runs out, you cannot enter a challenge which has expired. I recommend players (in particular, new players) to ONLY buy the garments needed for each challenge. When you first start off the game, you're given only $5,000 and you'll need to use your money sparingly.I also recommend (at the beginning, at least) only entering challenges that will give you a decent reward, should you win. Most challenges will automatically give you a monetary reward upon entering (usually between $100–$200 and the daily challenge always rewards $500); try not to spend more than you'll get back in the beginning. If you do end up spending more, make sure the rewards for winning are things you actually want.

If the reward, for example, is a dress you can't see yourself ever using, it might not be worthwhile to even enter.Keep in mind that garments can be reused an infinite number of times, but you cannot sell them back after buying them, so buy items carefully! Every garment that you own in the game adds to your overall Closet Value. This score is pretty important in the game; as you increase your closet value, you unlock more options for hair and makeup. You can increase your closet value by buying new clothes or winning new items from entering challenges. You'll see your closet value increase with each new item added to your closet—and every time you reach a major milestone, the game will congratulate you on your new closet value and give you a rundown of which new hair and makeup options you've unlocked.

After you choose a challenge to enter, it's time to dress up your avatar. Have a look at the requirements to see what items you'll need to wear. You can look through your closet (or use the sidebar to sort your closet) to see if you have the required garments.

If not, you can buy them directly from the challenge menu.Besides the requirements, you'll need to add things to make a complete look: shoes, shirts, and jewelry, or other accessories are recommended. Try your best to make your outfit fit in with the challenge at hand, read the description and try to follow it. If the model is supposed to be outdoors for a hike, don't dress her in a ball gown (though you'll see many players doing this in the voting menu!). As mentioned above, each time you enter a challenge, you can choose a new skin tone, hairstyle, and makeup to use on your model.Skin Tones range from light to dark, and are all unlocked regardless of closet value. Your model will automatically be wearing the same skin tone that you used last time, but you are free to change it from challenge to challenge or use the same skin tone throughout all your challenges. I always choose to use a dark-skinned model; I like her to reflect my real life skin tone.

Some players change the skin tones depending on the challenge (for example, many players changed their models to an olive or tan skin tone when the challenge was Samurai Warrior). Both the hair and makeup options are limited to your closet value. Each time you level up, you'll unlock three to five new makeup and hair options. Once you unlock a hair or makeup style, you can always go back and choose the old ones you've unlocked in the past. The makeup menu has several different makeup options to choose from; everything from a more nude/natural look, to glitzy/glam looks. Some of the makeup styles look different on each skin tone, so you can play around with your model's skin tone and their makeup to find a perfect look.Hair has more options once you choose it; the majority of hairstyles have several different colours to choose from, so you can have the Chignon hairstyle, for example, with lavender hair, if you desire. It's always a good idea to try and pick hair/makeup that goes with the challenge. If the challenge is for a businesswoman, for example, you might not want to choose a crazy hairstyle or nighttime makeup look.

If the challenge is a rocker chic, it might be a good time to choose one of the more 'daring' hair/makeup choices. There's no limit to hair or makeup so you can use and reuse the same options as many times as you'd like! Some hairstyles in the game have additional hair accessories which can be applied to them. The accessories vary from everything to crowns and wedding veils, to bows and head wraps.

Not every hairstyle has an accessory option, and not every accessory can be applied to every hairstyle; the accessories only apply to specific hairstyles, which you can find out by clicking on the hairstyle and seeing which accessory applies to it.Accessories can be a great way to really dress up for challenges. You can add a beautiful veil to a wedding dress challenge to polish up your look, or give your model a crown to make her look perfect for the princess challenge! The only downside to the hair accessories is that they can typically only be purchased with real money. Depending on your location, the hair accessories range from about $6–$14 dollars /here, in Australia, they are $13.99!). You need to buy a hair accessory credit to unlock ONE hair accessory (which can be then applied to whichever hairstyles it goes with, so long as you have the hairstyles unlocked).

There is currently no way to use in-game currency to purchase a hair accessory.Sometimes, however, hair accessories are given out as prizes for special challenges, style sprees, or for winning in a fashion house rally (more on all of that below). There are also, occasionally, sales on the hair accessory credits (for example, there was recently a Thanksgiving sale where they were you could purchase one credit for only $1.99 AUD), so keep an eye out for ways to get free or cheaper hair accessories! Props are newly added accessories which you can use to further customise your looks! You can access props during challenges once you've completed Level 5 in the game by clicking on the little wand icon on the top right of the dressing menu.

Your model can have a total of three props per look: one prop in her hand (i.e. A mobile phone, a bouquet of flowers, etc.), one behind her (like fairy or angel wings), and one in front of her (like a cute puppy or cat). Most challenges allow you to add props, but I only recommend adding them if they truly fit the look! If you're dressing a model that's at a fancy event, it won't make any sense to add a dog or a flying eagle behind her. But if she's being dressed for a wedding, why not utilise the floral bouquet prop? The majority of props are free to use and some rotate monthly. There are also special prop packs, which you can win by completing limited-time challenges. If you don't participate in the challenges, you can then purchase the prop pack, if desired. If you've connected your account with Facebook, you can even borrow clothing from friends.

If you have joined a Fashion House, you can also borrow from the members. You're only allowed to borrow one item per challenge and you can only borrow from each Facebook friend every three days, and from the Fashion House (as a whole) every 20 hours.Keep in mind that you can only borrow the same item once from each person. For example, if you borrow the Zimmerman Weave Buckle Belt from your friend Sally once, you can't borrow the same item from her again. You can, however, borrow other items from Sally, or borrow the Zimmerman Weave Buckle Belt from another friend in the game. There are clothing bonuses for each look you put together—one for unworn items and one for seasonal items.

You can get up to.30 stars for current season items +.50 stars for unworn items. Try to maximize these bonuses by wearing any applicable unworn items and staying in season with your clothing. You can tell which season each garment is in by looking at the description underneath the clothing thumbnail. With the bonuses you can get almost a full star more after the votes have been counted, so do your best to get your full bonuses with each challenge! When entering challenges, you sometimes have the option to 'Boost Unworn.' This option only applies if you have unworn items in your closet which will be equal or more than the value you need to max out your unworn bonus. For example, if you need $756 dollars worth of clothing to max your unworn, but haven't dressed your doll accordingly, the game will suggest items in your wardrobe which you haven't worn that are worth $756 dollars or more, that you can use to boost your look to the max.Choosing 'Boost Unworn' allows you to choose one garment to max out without actually dressing your doll in it.

Try to use garments that you don't think you'll actually use in a challenge (perfect for that ugly dress you won but don't plan on wearing, EVER). Every time you enter a challenge, you can have a look at the prizes that are available to win. Prizes differ from challenge to challenge, but typically you win a cash reward upon entering (between $100-$500).If you win four stars, you'll win a garment (sometimes related to the challenge itself; if the challenge requires you to wear clothing by a particular designer, you might win one of their items as the reward). At 4.5 stars, you'll win 25 diamonds. At 5 stars you will win a secondary item- usually something that's more expensive. I've seen pricey handbags, jewellery or gowns in this section.

They're great for increasing your closet value. Finally, if you win 5.8 stars (which is only achieved by winning Top Look), you will win the grand prize of 5000 diamonds! The Styling Spree is a competition which runs every week and allows you to win a premium wardrobe item.

You can win the Styling Spree simply by entering the normal challenges. Styling Spree eligible challenges are noted in the description, and there are generally 28 of them per week.Once you've entered in all 28 challenges, you will be rewarded with the Styling Spree prize (check your inbox to see it!). Prizes are usually gowns, expensive jewellery, or handbags, and the value is usually $4k or higher, so entering all the Styling Spree challenges are a great way to increase your closet value and add premium items to your wardrobe. You can also enter the Styling Spree challenges after the week ends, so long as the challenge is still available on the entry page. Try to enter all of the challenges and win these exclusive prizes! The results of each challenge come in after a few days of voting. You will be sent your results in the inbox. The results tab shows your voting score that the other Covet Fashion players gave you, (including your points for bonuses) and any rewards that you win. Clothing and accessories will go straight into your closet, and will add to your closet value.

Any diamonds that you win will be added to your diamond tally. You can also see all your past results and looks by going into your profile and click on Past Looks. They will all be archived there for you or anyone else looking at your profile to look back on. Best Look In Level is sort of a consolation prize for when your look scores really well, but not quite the perfect 5.80 score required to win Top Look. This reward is given to the highest scoring entry in the challenge, and is generally rewarded to looks which score 5.70 or higher (but below 5.80).Winning Best Look in Level rewards you with all the regular prizes for winning 5.0 stars and higher, but you also win an additional 500 diamonds and your look appears on the Covet home page/'runway.' Best Look in Level is really a nice way to be rewarded when you're close to a Top Look but not quite. As always, you'll need to max out your unworn and in season to have the best chance of reaching Best Look, and the rest is up to the voters!

I think it's safe to say having a Top Look is every Covet player's dream! Not only do you win the two clothing prizes, but you also win 5000 diamonds (really, 5025, including the 4.5-star bonus), and your look is displayed on the Covet homepage 'runway'.Winning Top Look definitely seems hard to do at lower levels; chances are, you won't win it until you level up significantly. Personally, I achieved my first Top Look at Level 19.

A lot of it has to do with unlocking the nicer hair and makeup which is only available at higher levels. Players tend to vote for certain hairstyles over some of the lower-level ones, so once you have access to the 'favourite' hairstyles, you have a better chance of winning. To win Top Look you definitely have to max out- so you need to keep EVERYTHING in season (even 1 point off can mess up your chance), and you'll need to max out your unworn items. After that, it's really down to luck! There are tons of inspiration groups on Facebook where you can look for the 'trending' garment for each challenge, and try and style your doll in a look that.might.

win, but you never really know. Most of my Top Looks have been a complete surprise!Just try to think about what the challenge calls for, pick hair and makeup which suits the situation (and sometimes it's good to try and imitate what the model is wearing on the cover photo), and MAX out. From there, it's up to the voters.Don't take it hard if you don't win Top Look or the best prize, though. The game is just a game, after all, and it's all in good fun! Keep trying and keep putting together looks you genuinely like, not just looks that you think will win.

Eventually, you'll score a Top Look, and probably when you least expect it! The challenges themselves work just like the timed challenges; you dress up your model as usual, and can receive bonuses for unworn clothes or seasonal items. However, you do not win a prize at the end of the voting (voting results come back in 8 hours for these); instead, you win a rating out of 5 stars.

If you receive the amount of stars required to open the next Jet Set destination, the game will unlock the new destination for you and will also give you a reward of 500 diamonds. As you get higher up in the Jet Set challenges, you will probably need to redo the old challenges to get higher scores and more stars. But Jet Set challenges are a great way to get free diamonds. Covet Fashion allows Facebook integration with the game so that you can add your real life Facebook friends and borrow items for their closets.Having a lot of friends is great in the game, so you will always have access to more garments to borrow. It's really great, especially, when you enter a challenge which requires a specific item that you don't own and don't want to buy (or can't afford); you can just look through your friend's closets and borrow from them, instead. If you have friends in real life who already play the game—great!

Connect with your Facebook account by clicking on Account and then clicking on the Facebook link. The game will automatically scan your Facebook friends and add any friends who are currently playing into the game. You'll then be able to borrow clothes from your friends and vice versa. You can also share a link on your Facebook page for your friends to download and play Covet Fashion with you. You have three referral links that you can give out, and if anyone clicks your link and is a new player to Covet Fashion, you'll be rewarded $1,000 for referring a new player.

If you're a serious Covet player, I actually recommend setting up a Facebook account just FOR Covet Fashion. It's really easy to do and thousands of other players do the exact same thing. Set up an Email address from whichever provider you'd like (I use Gmail) and then make a new Facebook account. I think it's best to put 'Covet' somewhere in your name (for example, I'm Brittany Covet on Facebook) so other players will recognize who you as a player of the game.

You can also change your profile picture to your game avatar or model.Once you make your Covet profile, there are a few ways of finding other Covet players to add. You can make a post on the Covet Fashion Facebook page and ask people to add you. You can also join one of the many Covet Fashion Add Me groups, where people are always looking for new friends. You can start adding other players, and Facebook will automatically recommend players for you to add.I found that adding friends snowballs really fast, though. I started a new account and added 100 people. After a few days, that amount tripled, currently, I have close to 1,000—and the majority of them found me.

So don't worry about not having enough friends—you'll probably have too many at some point! You'll never make it through all their closets anyway. Fashion Houses are groups of other players made up in the game. You can join a Fashion House from the main sidebar menu and then search for a house of your liking. There are a few benefits to joining a Fashion House:. Chat Room: You can chat with other members of your Fashion House whenever you'd like.

This is the only way to have a chat in the game. Ask for Advice: Being in a Fashion House gives you the option to post any of your looks before entering a rally, and you can ask for advice from your fellow house members. More Closets to Borrow From: You'll have access to any of the members in your FH's closets, however, you can only borrow from the FH as a whole once every 10–24 hours. Runway Rallies: This is really the #1 reason to join a Fashion House—entering Runway Rallies. Rallies can be thrown by your FH leader and are done by you and the members of your FH entering the timed challenges. If you and your fellow members receive a high enough cumulative score, you'll get a piece of a puzzle board.

If you unlock all the pieces, you'll win prizes like premium garments, cash or even diamonds. If you're someone who likes to enter a lot of challenges, anyway, joining an active FH who also does so is great; basically, you have a chance of double the prizes with no extra effort on your part. You can find Fashion Houses either by searching on the game itself, through word-of-mouth (if you have other friends who play, you can ask them which house they're in), through Facebook (join one of the many Covet Fashion Facebook groups and you'll see tons of FH recommendations), or you can even make your own Fashion House! One of the hardest things about Covet Fashion is making and saving money.

You need money to buy garments, you need garments to enter challenges, but each garment is pretty expensive and sometimes you'll have to buy three to four garments in order to enter a challenge. Then, you get a small entry reward of $200, and might not even win the prize at the end. Far harbor guide.

Unfortunately, this happens often, so you could end up spending $600 for a challenge, only got $200 back, and be out of $400. When you only start off the game with 5K, that money will go really fast.So how can you budget and save money in a game like Covet Fashion? Make sure you do the Daily Challenge every. The entry reward is $500, and the Daily Challenge doesn't require you to have a specific garment—you just have to create a look.

Obviously, you'll want to create the best look that you possibly can so you can get a good score and win a reward, but you don't have to stay in season for the Daily Challenge, and you don't need to buy anything new. I don't ever buy a garment for the Daily Challenge, that way I'm getting $500 cash a day, without spending anything. After a week, that's $3500 (and maybe a few reward garments, if you put together a good look! Having diamonds is almost a necessity in the game.

Because no matter how much you budget or how well you save, eventually, you'll run out of cash and need more (especially when a new season begins and you need a new wardrobe). The only way to get more cash is to convert it from diamonds.I don't personally spend a lot of money buying diamonds from the Premium Store. Some players have disposable income and are able to spend the money to buy the big packs of diamonds, and if you're willing to spend $100+, you can too.

However, I don't recommend doing that.First of all, from time to time, Covet runs discounts on diamonds. You can get up to 80% off the 1575 diamond pack at least once a month, and that's the only time I'll buy diamonds (for example, it's usually $7.99 AUD to buy that pack, with the discount, it's only $1.49. That's less than the price of a cup of coffee).Other than buying diamonds, you can earn diamonds by completing free offers through Covet Fashion. There's an Earn tab in the Premium Store, which will give you options to earn diamonds. The main way to earn diamonds is by completing free offers (like downloading an app and running it, or taking a survey). These usually pay out anywhere from 20–15000 diamonds. Before you start doing the offers though, keep in mind that Covet Fashion (and Tapjoy, the company who runs these offers) often do 2x Diamond offers, when for an entire weekend, every offer is worth double the amount of diamonds! Since many offers can only be completed once, I wait to do any offers until one of these promotional weekends is running, and then I do as many offers as I can.

The last two times I did the double diamond weekends, I completed enough surveys, etc. To earn 40k diamonds! This is an easy and effective way to earn thousands of diamonds. Just keep your eyes peeled for a double diamond weekend! In January 2017, Covet Fashion underwent a, and the biggest feature included the 'modern models.'

Before the update, all the models in Covet Fashion were the same height and body shape. Though you could change skin tones, there were only six preset skin colors and all dolls had the same exact face (which you could just layer different makeup onto).

The new modern update introduced 50 new female types—new skin tones, facial features, heights, and body shapes! The Modern update was originally rolled out to all players and was the only way of playing the game, however, you can now choose to play either the Modern or Classic version of the game in Covet's setting page. Obviously, the main differences between Modern and Classic are that in Modern, there are more body types and ethnicities available to play with. The other main difference is that in Modern, you're actually given a model to dress—you cannot change skin tones or body types when entering challenges. Some Covet players hate this restriction, but personally, I find it a fun challenge. While all the different body shapes wear the same clothes, the garments look different depending on the model's height and weight, which is realistic and a nice addition to the game.

Also, it's great to see that Covet chooses models which accurately fit the challenge (for example, if the challenge is 'Japanese Princess,' you'll actually be presented with a model who looks of Japanese descent, rather than being able to choose a skin tone which isn't exactly appropriate). With Modern, you can also only choose from certain makeup styles—each skin tone has makeup specific to them. This restriction isn't my favourite, but it does allow for more realistic and diverse-looking models.Last but not least, if you're playing Modern, you only complete against other Modern players once the challenges go into voting. So, if you're dressing up a curvaceous medium-skinned model for the challenge, you'll only be competing against other players who have the same model. Obviously, this prevents against unfair voting or discrimination.Modern is a great update to the game. I'll have to be brutally honest: as someone who's been part of the Covet community for over three years, it was very apparent for a long time that Covet players tended to idolize and vote for one standard of beauty; typically, blonde-haired, blue-eyed models won Top Look on every challenge, even ones where that look didn't fit. Now, you can see all sorts of body types, skin tones, heights, and shapes win top look, and it's a wonderful change! The only way to level up is to increase your closet value, which is done by buying more clothes in the game, and clothes are only bought through Covet cash or premium currency- diamonds.

Those people at level 67 could be spending real money to buy diamonds, so they can convert it to covet cash to buy clothes. They could also be winning TL (5k diamonds each time) and investing in clothes, OR they might be part of a really good Fashion House which wins their rallies. They could even be getting free diamonds from TapJoy. Either way, they're somehow getting clothes (either through buying diamonds, winning clothes, or getting free diamonds) to increase their CV and level up. Great article, thanks:) I'm just starting out but am already hooked on Covet, so the tips are really helpful.I'm having one problem though: I can't borrow items anymore. I went the route of creating a Covet Facebook profile and connected it to the game, but then I decided to delete that profile (it was showing up as a suggested 'friend' for my own friends and I felt a bit weird about that).

So I deleted the profile from Facebook and assumed Covet would go back to only allowing me to borrow items from my Fashion House members. But no, now when I try to borrow something, it tells me to reconnect Facebook and there's no option to say 'disconnect'. So I can't go any further, and I can't borrow from my Fashion House anymore.Any ideas? I've messaged support and heard nothing back. Thanks and have fun out there!.
